General Information
Class 1 Surge Protective Devices are for protection of direct lightning. They are designed and tested to manage high energy of lightning impulse in case the installation is struck by direct lightning.The Class 1 SPDs are recommended for locations zone 0 and 1 defined by the LPZ concept of the standard. For example, power line entrance of the building which is protected by lightning rods or connected to overhead lines. The products are generally installed at the entrance of the system, the main distribution board.
